Spiritual Journey

Raised by her father, a Methodist Minister, Shirley began her spiritual search in the 1960s. She studied the Bible with Jehovah’s Witnesses, was baptized in the 1960's, and several years later began to partake of the memorial emblems with strong conviction in her heavenly promise. She dedicated many years to pioneering and took great joy in attending Pioneer School several times.

Personal Interests and Talents

Shirley had a witty sense of humor and enjoyed singing, drawing, and teaching herself new skills. She learned to read and speak Spanish and Sign Language. In the summer months, she meticulously mapped out yard and garage sales using a color-coded system with her fountain pen.

Shirley will be remembered for her strong faith, loving spirit, and the many lives she touched throughout her journey.
